Coaching Guidelines and Information

  • Meet Director: John Dalessio 
  • ABOUT: This is a USA Powerlifting sanctioned meet being organized and run by Powerlifting Events LLC.
  • Each lifter is allowed one coach/handler in the warm up area.
  • Coaches must wear wrist band to gain access to warm up room.
  • Coaches please read the USA Powerlifting Rulebook.
  • All coaches must act in a professional manner, respect all lifters in warm up area, respect all referees and volunteers, share warm up weights and racks and help keep warm up area in good order.
  • Once your lifter completes their lift you have 1 minute to submit the lifter's next attempt. If time expires the next attempt will automatically increase by 2.5kg.
  • When your lifter is on the platform you must stand behind the coach's line.
  • Only official meet spotter may give hand off for the bench press per USA Powerlifting rulebook - no coach hand-offs.
  • There is no video review to protest a lift. 
  • Baby Powder is only allowed in designated area.
  • Please contact meet director if you have any problems on meets day.
  • Coaching passes must be purchased by September 19
  • Online USA Powerlifting Waiver MUST be filled out and confirmation email sent to meet director by September 19

Coaches must fill out an electronic waiver form online. USA Powerlifting now requires everyone in the warm up room to sign a waiver form.

All coaches are expected to display good sportsman like conduct throughout the meet and follow guidelines stated above.
